Buonavit Baby is a vitamin-based dietary supplement specifically formulated for infants and children: it can be administered from birth.

The vitamin supplement contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system (vitamins A, B6, B12, D and folic acid) and assists normal energy metabolism as well as the functioning of the nervous system (vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, and PP).

Vitamin D, in addition, is required for normal growth and bone development in children.

The vitamins are a group of organic substances to be taken on a daily basis in small doses with food. They are essential for growth and proper performance of vital activities.
These micronutrients act as essential metabolism regulators. They have a coenzyme action and carry out very specific functions.
Based on solubility, they are distinguished as:

  • Water-soluble: vitamins B1, B2, B5, B6, B12; vitamin PP, folic acid, vitamin H; vitamin C.
  • Fat-soluble: vitamins A, D, E, and K.

Vitamins possess an extremely important role in the growth and development of children, especially in the early growth stages. In fact, they act as modulators on the metabolic and energetic processes, which are essential for bone development, and work on defence mechanisms and protect against oxidative stress. With premature babies, in particular, vitamins D, E, K and B6, folic acid and an integration of vitamin A supplements are always indicated, which seem to prevent pulmonary complications.
