Description

Isonebial KIT is recommended for the everyday cleaning of the nasal cavities. Particularly recommended when the nostrils are dry or blocked.
Isonebial KIT allows the nebulisation of Isonebial (a ready-to-use 0.9% isotonic solution with added ectoin) using the Spray-sol® nasal nebuliser device.
Spray-sol® nasal nebuliser is a medical device specifically designed for treatment of the nasal and sinus cavities, which allows the rapid delivery of the solution by nebulisation in particles of between 10 and 20 microns, ideal for the upper respiratory passages. The specially-designed shape and soft material used for the nozzle make the device particularly suitable for children’s nostrils, but it can also be used by adults.

Isonebial is an isotonic solution (0.9 %) with the addition of ectoin.
Isonebial is recommended for the everyday cleaning of the nasal cavities, particularly when the nostrils are dry or blocked. It softens mucus, facilitating its removal, and restores the correct levels of hydration in dry or encrusted mucous membranes, improving respiration. The ectoine contained in Isonebial is highly effective at bonding water molecules, and has a protective and hydrating action which relieves irritation in the mucous membranes. The single-use vials of Isonebial are recommended for the gentle daily cleansing of the nose and help to improve respiration, particularly in babies and small children who are not yet able to blow their nose. Regular cleaning of the nose can help the baby to feed and improve the sleep of older children too. Furthermore, it can protect the mucous membranes from irritation due to external agents and air pollution. Isonebial is suitable for long-term use.
The solution contained in Isonebial vials may also be used for aerosol therapy.

Composition

Isonebial vials contains: sodium chloride, ectoin, sodium phosphate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, water.
Isonebial contains no preservatives and reaction possibilities are therefore reduced.

How to use

1. Detach a single-dose vial and open it by twisting the cap.
2. Attach the vial to the syringe included in the pack and draw up the solution to be nebulised.

3. Fix the syringe filled with the ISONEBIAL solution by screwing it onto the dedicated intake nozzle of the Spray-sol® nasal nebuliser device.

4. For infants and small children (under 3 and depending on their level of cooperation), the treatment should be carried out while lying on the side, with the head leaning to one side and inserting the Spray-sol® nasal nebuliser carefully into the uppermost nostril. Press the plunger of the syringe firmly to nebulise the solution.

For older children and adults, insert the Spray-sol®  nasal nebuliser into one nostril, with the torso upright and without leaning the head back. Breathe in and press the plunger of the syringe firmly at the same time to nebulise the solution. Let go of the plunger before breathing out.

5. Repeat the operation in point 4 above for the other nostril, aiming to divide the contents of the syringe equally between the two nostrils.

6. Before putting the device away, rinse the syringe under running water and wash the Spray-sol® nasal nebuliser.

CLEANING THE SPRAY-SOL NASAL NEBULISER

Spray-Sol® nasal nebuliser is recommended for use by a single patient and can be used more than once. It is therefore extremely important to clean the device carefully after each use in order to ensure optimum functioning and durability.

Wash the Spray-sol® nasal nebuliser under warm running water, if necessary with a drop of neutral detergent (non-abrasive). Before storing the device, dry the Spray-sol® nasal nebuliser with a soft cloth.

Repeat the operation in point 4 above for the other nostril, aiming to divide the contents of the syringe equally between the two nostrils.
