Information

Most patients with Cystic Fibrosis have pancreatic insufficiency resulting in malabsorption of fats. In these patients the fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K) are not optimally absorbed. It is therefore often necessary to take action with appropriate dietary supplements to prevent clinical manifestations, sometimes severe, due to states of deficiency. Even in patients with normal pancreatic function a dietary supplement of fat-soluble vitamins may be recommended to ensure adequate levels. The doses of vitamins recommended as supplements are significantly higher than the diet’s normal daily intake. KLEDAX is dietary food for special medical purposes intended for individuals with cystic fibrosis, based on fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K in drops for oral use. Its formulation allows for adequate amounts of fat-soluble vitamins to be taken in a single daily dose.
