Our Commitment to Gender Equality
At Buona, we believe that inclusion and fairness are essential to building a positive workplace and contributing to sustainable development. A culture of respect guides our relationships and helps us value each person’s uniqueness, turning differences into a shared strength.
Growing together, with equal opportunities
Caring also means creating the conditions that allow every person to fully express their potential.
To make this commitment concrete and measurable, we have implemented a Gender Equality Management System compliant with UNI/PdR 125:2022. This journey involves the entire Company and enables us to continuously improve our processes and behaviours over time.

Promoting a culture of respect
Change begins first and foremost with awareness. For this reason, we promote information and awareness initiatives focused on equal opportunities, inclusion and women’s empowerment.
We aim to help overcome stereotypes and biases, including unconscious ones, by encouraging respectful and accessible internal and external communication that recognises and values everyone’s contribution.
We believe that gender equality stems from awareness and respect. We are therefore committed to raising awareness among our people about equal opportunities and women’s empowerment, while preventing stereotypes and biases that may influence behaviours and decisions.
We also promote respectful and inclusive communication that values differences and the contribution of every person.

Ensuring fairness at work and in professional development
We are committed to ensuring equal opportunities throughout every stage of a person’s professional journey, addressing the gender pay gap and promoting greater balance in positions of responsibility.
Everyone should be able to grow within Buona on the basis of their skills, abilities and aspirations, without discrimination.
In 2024, Buona received the “Women Value Company” award, presented by the Marisa Bellisario Foundation and Intesa Sanpaolo to companies that stand out for inclusion, gender equality and the promotion of female talent. In the same year, women represented 54% of the Company’s workforce.

Supporting well-being and work-life balance
People’s well-being is an integral part of the way we do business. Through tools such as remote working, flexible working hours and employee welfare initiatives, we support a better balance between professional, personal and family responsibilities.
This focus is particularly important for people going through significant stages of their lives, such as parenthood. We want maternity and paternity to be experienced without becoming an obstacle to professional continuity and career development.

Zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment and violence
Buona promotes a safe and inclusive workplace that is free from harassment, abuse and behaviour that undermines personal dignity.
Confidentiality and the protection of individuals are essential principles for preventing all forms of violence and taking prompt action when behaviours are inconsistent with our values.
Our Gender Equality Certification
In May 2026, Buona obtained certification for its Gender Equality Management System in accordance with UNI/PdR 125:2022.
The certification, issued by Bureau Veritas Italia, recognises the adoption of measures designed to ensure gender equality in the workplace. For us, it does not represent the end of the journey, but rather an important milestone in a process of continuous improvement.
We define and monitor specific performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of the actions undertaken, measure progress and identify new opportunities for growth. The Gender Equality Policy is also periodically reviewed by Management.
